Electric Two-Wheeler: Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Okinawa Autotech has launched the updated version of its electric scooter Okhi-90. Its price will be Rs 1.86 lakh, ex-showroom, in which no changes have been made. Its delivery will start from this September.

This flagship electric scooter of the company has now been introduced with a new battery pack, which is ASI-156 3 compliant. Also, it is equipped with next generation motor and technology.

Talking about the suspension provided in this electric scooter, it has a hydraulic suspension unit at the front while a double shocker setup has been given at the rear. In addition to this, it also gets E-ABS (Electronic-Assisted Braking System) with re-generative system and a micro-charger with auto-cut function.

The company will upgrade its entire portfolio in collaboration with its Italian partner Tacita. Features such as a new encoder based motor, digital speedometer, anti-theft alarm, GPS navigation and Bluetooth connectivity have been given in the 2023 updated Okhi-90. Apart from this, the facility of mobile app connectivity is also available in it, which will work for real time battery SOC and speed monitoring.

Riding range, charging and color options

Talking about the range of the updated Okhi-90, it will be capable of delivering a range of up to 160 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 90 kmph. It takes 4-5 hours to fully charge its battery. This electric scooter can be bought in four color options (red, blue, gray and white).

Talking about the sales of Okinawa Autotech last month, the company sold 2,616 units, which was 10 percent less than the sales of 2,907 units sold in May 2023. However, this decline in EV sales is due to the reduction in subsidy under FAMEII.
