MG Comet EV Gets Jio Powered Connected Features

MG Comet EV Features: MG Motor India has announced a wide range of industry first connected car features in association with Jio platform. As part of this collaboration, customers in the MG Motor India Comet Electric will get a Hinglish voice assistant-enabled experience powered by Jio’s digital assets. This will allow MG Comet EV customers to benefit from Jio’s innovative assets such as India’s first Hinglish voice assistant system integrated with music apps, payment apps, connectivity platforms and hardware.

What are the advantages?

The embedded Hello Jio voice assistant understands a native Indian speaker with knowledge of various regional dialects and languages ​​from across India. Hello Jio provides the best in-car voice assistant for Indian users with different dialogues from in-vehicle command and control. Hello Jio’s dialogues give information about cricket, weather, news, horoscope and many other domains. This allows users to directly switch the AC on or off, play songs and even check cricket scores with simple voice commands.

how does it work

The MG Comet EV uses Jio’s integrated eSIM, which plays a vital role in improving the safety of the vehicle as it is installed in the car itself during the manufacturing process. It also identifies the vehicle and encrypts the vehicle’s communication.

Battery and Range

The powertrain setup of the MG Comet electric car gets a 17.3 kWh battery pack, which together with the electric motor generates 42bhp power and 110Nm torque. This IP67-rated battery pack offers an ARAI certified range of 230 km on a single charge. The company provides a 3.3kW charger with it, with the help of which it takes 7 hours to charge. The car competes with the Tata Tiago EV, which gets a 19.2 kWh and a 24 kWh battery pack option.
