Maruti Suzuki Brezza: In a recent update, Maruti Suzuki removed the mild hybrid feature from the manual petrol version of the Brezza. Now it has become an automatic only Brezza and there is no more CNG variant as well. While its mild hybrid system is similar to the premium Grand, it is also sold by the company as a mild hybrid.
The new Brezza is powered by a 1.5L petrol engine mated to a 6-speed automatic torque converter. Which car is better after removing the mild hybrid from the manual? Well, the Brezza automatic is currently the most fuel efficient variant in the compact SUV with a mileage of 20 kmpl. Earlier the mild hybrid manual gearbox had the highest mileage of 20.15 km/l, but now the manual has reduced the mileage compared to the automatic. The manual Brezza is still much cheaper than the automatic with a higher price difference. But the removal of mild hybrid technology has made a difference to its mileage. We haven’t driven the new manual Brezza yet.
Talking about the driving experience, the automatic torque converter is smooth, comfortable and efficient. While there are also paddle shifters to help with this. The manual is great with the 5-speed, which is also a pleasure to drive. The automatic Brezza is much better than the previous Brezza present in the compact SUV. Especially the earlier Brezza AMT. So, if you have the budget, the automatic Brezza is still the best option with its convenience, but the manual Brezza still gives better value for money with a huge price difference, which is also easy to drive with a light clutch.
Despite not offering a diesel engine like its rival, the current Brezza is a much better option. Which is only available with the 1.5l petrol engine.
