Mahindra XUV 700 6-Seater: Mahindra XUV 700 is one of the best selling SUV of the company. There has been a steady demand since its launch, which was launched in August 2021. Since then this SUV has not been updated. Though it is still more modern than many other cars in the segment. But now the company is testing the new version of this popular car. Several of its testing mules have been spotted. Some of these testing models belong to the XUV.e8, which is the electric version of the SUV built on the INGLO platform. But now the company is probably preparing to bring its 6-seater version. Recently this testing model has been spotted.

If you remember, the 6-seater model of the Mahindra XUV700 was spotted with the company’s AdrenoX smartphone app. While the company has never officially launched the 6-seater model of the XUV700. As of now, it is available in 5-seater with 2-row seating and 7-seater options with 3-row seating. In the 6-seater version, there are Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus in the segment. Now Mahindra is also preparing to enter this segment.

Design

Although its launch timeline has not been disclosed yet, it can be launched around the festive season, at which time Tata Motors is about to launch the facelift version of its Harrier and Safari SUVs. The model seen in the spy pictures was completely covered. But it looked completely similar to the current XUV 700. No change has been seen in its exterior details as compared to the current model. The headlights, taillights, wheels and bumper are all similar to the current model. The only change is visible in its internal seating configuration. Although some minor changes can be seen in its final product.

powertrain

Talking about the powertrain of this SUV, the existing 2.0L turbo petrol engine and 2.2L turbo diesel engine will be retained along with their transmission. The current top trim gets an all wheel drive system while all other trims get a front wheel drive system. Its 6-seater version may be available only for the top-spec trims. Although some new features can be found in it. Everything else will remain the same as the current model.

who will compete

This SUV will compete with the Tata Safari SUV, which is already available in 6 and 7-seater layouts. It gets a 2.0L turbo diesel engine.
