Headroom is good, but we feel that Hyundai should have offered rear armrest as well. At the same time, the boot space of 391 liters given in it is again more than the vehicles competing with it.
Compared to vehicles in the 3-cylinder segment, its engine starts smoothly and generates power compared to its rivals with a four-cylinder 1.2-liter petrol engine with a power output of 83bhp/114Nm. Usually, AMTs get to see a bit of pause at low speeds, which is not there in this one. Hence it is the best among AMT vehicles as it gives torque converter feel at low speeds and you do not need to move your head while changing gears. Apart from this, talking about its specialty, strong suspension, light steering and 185 mm ground clearance are included. Which is great for the roads in this weather. In fact, the little Exeter tackles the potholes and the rough stuff with ease.
Even on the highway, the Xeter manages to fit in easily. And the best way to get the best out of this car is to drive it comfortably. Because its engine is not such that you can run like heavy engine vehicles. So the best way is to cruise it. However, another important feature that Hyundai has added to the Xtor is the AMT paddle shifters. Which is not present in any AMT car before. Which increases the controlling power. Also, if you suddenly need more power, you can get it. And in terms of mileage, one can expect 12-13kmpl.
The Exeter has become the smallest complete SUV ever. The features found in it are not in anyone else. Also, it is more refined than its rivals and its AMT feature is also the best among rivals. The features found in it are expensive SUV, which is in low price and compact size. However, no compromise has been made on its safety as well as packaging. The top-end Xtor costs Rs. 10 lakhs and you can’t get a better SUV at this price.
