Hero MotoCorp Is Preparing To Launch Some New Premium Bikes In Indian Market

Hero MotoCorp: Hero MotoCorp is preparing for some big premium launches for the Indian market. The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer is all set to introduce four new models in the next 3-4 years to enter the premium motorcycle segment. The upcoming Hero premium bikes will fall into two different sub-segments – Core Premium and Upper Premium. Currently, the company is reported to be working on three platforms. Which includes a 210cc liquid-cooled engine for the new Karizma XMR, a 420cc liquid-cooled engine and a 440cc oil-cooled engine powering the Harley-Davidson X440.

New 440cc bike will come

Speaking to an online media publication, Hero MotoCorp Chairman Pawan Munjal said that Harley-Davidson will play a key role in the company’s growth in the premium motorcycle segment. He said that if the first model of their joint venture, the Harley-Davidson X440, gets a good response from the customers, then the company will extend this partnership to the global market. He also said that in early 2024, Hero MotoCorp will launch a new premium bike based on the same platform as the Harley-Davidson X440.

Hero Xtreme 440

According to some reports, the name of Hero’s upcoming premium bike could be Xtreme 440R. Its powertrain may be similar to the Harley-Davidson X440, which will be powered by a 440cc single-cylinder, 2-valve, oil-cooled engine. This engine can generate 27bhp power and 38Nm torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Most of the design elements and features of the new Extreme 440R are expected to be similar to the Harley-Davidson X440.

Next launch of Hero MotoCorp

Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch the fully-faired Karizma XMR 210 in the coming months. The new bike will get a sharp front end, long and lifted handlebar and a smoothed tail profile. This bike will get a 210cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which can generate 25bhp and 30Nm of torque.

who will compete

Harley 440 will compete with KTM 390 Duke, in which a 373.27cc BS6 engine has been given, which generates power of 42.9 bhp and torque of 37 Nm.
