1 month free insurance with 12 months
Customers who are renewing or first-time buyers of Acko’s auto insurance policy will only have to pay for 12 months and get a one-month extension, that too at no extra charge. According to Animesh Das, Head of Product Strategy, Acko General Insurance, most of the vehicles are parked and not in use during the lockdown, so we want to help our customers. In view of this, the company is doing the right thing in a transparent manner by extending the insurance policy of the customers by one month without any extra charge.
Government has already given facility
Acko said that this initiative will give relief to the customers for the month when their car or bike is not used. By the way, tell that the government has already given relief to the people in the matter of insurance. The government has already given an additional moratorium till April 21 for premium payment for third party policies. The beam of people will also remain intact during this period. In view of this decision of the government, Acko has also extended the term of the third party policy by one month without any additional cost. This will also provide a lot of relief to the insurance policy holders.
Who Will get benefit
The deadline for existing Acko customers to avail the one month lockdown extension is for the entire financial year from 2nd April 2020 to 31st March 2021. New customers can avail one month extension on auto insurance till the lockdown period i.e. till 14th April 2020. It may be noted that in view of the 21-day lockdown, the government has decided to postpone the payment date for renewal of motor vehicle third party insurance and health insurance till April 21, 2020. This is such a decision which will give relief to more than 60 crore people of the country.
