Fastest SUVs: India is a country that loves SUVs. We are not alone though, SUVs are preferred in almost all the countries of the world. The reason for which is quite clear that it is quite practical. Which it proves in itself, but is it possible to get a super SUV? Or Mix an SUV with Supercar? Lamborghini did just that with the Urus. Due to which the car broke all sales records and became the leader of its segment. Then recently it introduced the Performante. With low weight, high power and a hardcore drive, this is a car built to tear up the racetrack. All this seems like a difficult thing to have in an SUV, unless you drive one. The Urus Performante is one such hardcore super SUV. which you can buy. Basically it is a super car, which is more like an SUV. This is the Urus which has been made several changes to reduce weight and increase performance. The front end also looks mean and a closer look shows that a lot of carbon fiber has been used in it. The bonnet given in it is of carbon fiber in which vents are also present. Also a different bumper, bigger intake with more cooling, you can also get a carbon fiber roof with great downforce. Then you get massive 23-inch wheels and bespoke tyres, which are made for it. Then there is a big spoiler along with a big diffuser at the back, which looks angry and mean.
While inside it, Alcantara is present everywhere. Also, carbon fiber is also present with red trim and red door handles. The cabin is well designed with a dual screen in the center housing all the gadgets. That said, the anima and drive mode switch in it is like a fighter ship, which feels special. Whereas at the rear you are surprised to see tremendous legroom, headroom and boot space. You can actually drive it, I kid you not.
However, the driver’s seat is where you should be. Its visibility is quite good. Whose position is neither too high nor too low. The titanium exhaust present in it makes a loud sound like a super car right from the start. You can immediately see the advantages of having an SUV as soon as you start driving it. Like having 23-inch wheels, you don’t need to crawl over speed breakers. The Urus Performant managed amazingly and practically on some of the rough roads we encountered during the test drive. You can also use it in daily life. No matter what the ride is like, the ride does not feel uncomfortable in it.
However, the real deal is when you find the road empty. Then its speed will surprise you. Lamborghini has increased the power and reduced the weight by 47 kg, which you can guess immediately. It feels tight to pull, but feels connected to the road with the tweaked steering and sport suspension. Its engine makes a lot of noise and the car takes only 3.3 seconds to accelerate from 0-100, which is quite easily possible on an empty road. And the pops and crackleless sound coming from its exhaust will make you smile. In fact I didn’t hear the audio system even once. As I said earlier, not only the strength but the suspension of the Performante has also been changed to steel springs. Instead of cornering it angrily, you can drive it like a supercar and it will respond. The fact is that even being lowered by 20mm brings in tremendous handling performance, which you wouldn’t expect from such a big SUV. You can even take it off road with the new rally mode.
The Urus Performante costs 4.2 crores, which is quite a lot. But in this you get two cars at once. In this, you get the experience of a super car, which is also quite practical according to our roads. This is the Lamborghini that you can use on a daily basis.
