Tesla May Come India Soon: Tesla, the world’s largest electric car maker, is considering a major investment in India. The owner of the company, Elon Musk, said this after meeting the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. At present the Prime Minister is on a visit to America and Elon Musk may also visit India in 2024.

Musk said, I am sure, Tesla will be in India soon. As a human being we will try as soon as possible. After meeting the Prime Minister, Musk said that he does not want to be in a hurry, but it will be a big investment with India.

India is the third most energy consuming country in the world. Also, amidst the ongoing heat in America and China, there is a better option for American companies.

Musk is looking at India as a great option for Tesla’s next factory after exploring places like France, South Korea and Indonesia. Because there is tremendous potential for solar power, stationary battery packs and electric vehicles.

Tesla is in touch with several authorities in India. Along with this, the company has registered its business in India under the name Tesla India Motors and Energy Private Limited and is also testing its vehicles in the country.

But Tesla wants to reduce the tax duty on its imported vehicles and parts. While government officials have already made it clear that the electric car maker should start production in India before considering profits.
