In fact, a fire broke out in the office of the Tribal Welfare Department operating on the third floor of the Satpura Bhavan at around 3 pm on Monday afternoon, possibly due to AC short circuit. The work of extinguishing the fire continued till Tuesday morning. At the same time, even after about 40 hours of fire in the building, smoke is coming out. Things kept inside the building are burning. The team of fire brigade is present on the spot.
Satpura Bhawan is no longer free from danger. There will always be a fear of untoward happening in the building. The infrastructure of the building has suffered heavy damage due to the fire. There is a possibility of damage to cement rods and other structures due to the fierce fire. More than 50 percent internal damage is said to be possible in the concrete of the building.
Sitting of more people together in the building is not free from danger. Even the pillars of the building are visible, even the plaster has been uprooted from outside. It will be possible to set up office in Satpura Bhavan only after the fit check report.
