Satpura Bhavan Fire: The Human Rights Commission has taken cognizance of the fire in the government building Satpura Bhavan in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Notice has been sent to the Collector, Commissioner and Municipal Corporation regarding the incident of arson. After probing the matter, reply has been sought within 3 weeks. The Human Rights Commission says that 80 percent of the firefighters in the municipal fire brigade are daily wage workers. While extinguishing the fire, the municipal fire staff looked helpless. Untrained firefighters and half-outdated resources were the biggest reasons for not controlling the fire.
FIR against unknown accused
Arera Hills police station has registered an FIR against the unknown accused in the Satpura arson case. An FIR has been registered on the complaint of Mahesh Wankhede, an employee of the Tribal Welfare Department. A case has been registered under sections of arson. The matter is being investigated whether someone has set the fire or for what reasons.

To investigate the Satpura building fire incident, the investigation team reached the spot and took stock. ACS Rajesh Rajoura says that experts are engaged in the investigation. The facts will come out after his report. We will do full investigation. The report will be submitted after 3 days. Statements of the employees present on the spot will also be taken. Tomorrow again the team will come back to Satpura. We are continuously visiting the incident site. The team of experts is doing their work. The forensic team is also investigating on the spot. The samples received from the spot are being collected.
Satpura building did not catch fire, it was set – MLA Praveen Kumar
Regarding the fire in Satpura Bhavan, Aam Aadmi Party’s co-incharge and Delhi MLA Praveen Kumar says that Satpura Bhavan did not catch fire, it was set. Before the elections, the evidence of scams and irregularities were erased. There are people from the government in the inquiry committee too, so there should be no expectation of fairness in the investigation. Aam Aadmi Party will fight a legal battle in the matter of fire. The Aam Aadmi Party is not going to spare the person who commits the act of arson.
Let us tell you that on Monday, June 12, a massive fire broke out in the Satpura building in Bhopal. Due to which there was chaos among the officers and employees working there. Flames started rising from the office of the Tribal Development Project located on the third floor and soon engulfed the fourth, fifth and sixth floors. The fire has been brought under control after about 15 hours of effort.
