Tata Motors: Tata Motors is currently India’s third largest passenger vehicle manufacturer. The company is at the forefront of the electric vehicle segment with around 80 percent market share. To further increase its sales, the company is about to launch a whole range of new SUVs with ICE and electric powertrains in the country. In the next 2 years, the company is going to bring 8 new SUVs, let’s see the list of these cars.

Tata Motors will launch the Nexon facelift in August-September 2023. While the new Harrier this year before Diwali 2023, the new Safari before the end of FY 2023-24, the Punches EV by the end of 2023, while the Curve SUV Coupe by early 2024, the Harrier EV by 2024-25, the Safari EV by 2024-25 Till and Sierra will launch in 2025.

Will get new engine

The company is about to launch Nexon, Harrier and Safari SUVs with heavy updates before the end of this financial year. All three SUVs will get major design changes and more advanced interiors with new turbo petrol engines. The Nexon will get a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine, while the Harrier and Safari will get a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine generating 170bhp power.

Punch EV

The company will also launch the electric version of the Punch Micro SUV by the end of this year. It will be based on the ALFA modular platform, which has been significantly updated for the electric powertrain. The Punch EV will get the company’s Ziptron powertrain, which will get a liquid-cooled battery pack with permanent synchronous motor with front wheels drive.

Tata Curve

Tata Motors will launch a mid-size SUV Curve in the first half of 2024 to compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara. It will get multiple powertrain options including electric battery pack, turbo petrol engine, diesel engine and factory-fitted CNG kit.

Harrier and Safari EV

Tata Motors will also launch the electric versions of Harrier and Safari SUVs in 2024-25. The company showcased the concept version of the Harrier EV at the 2023 Auto Expo, which will be built on the company’s new GEN 2 (Sigma) architecture platform. While the company will launch the Sierra Lifestyle SUV in 2025, which will be launched with electric and petrol powertrain options.
