Subsidy on Electric Vehicles: The UP government has recently announced subsidy on electric vehicles purchased in the state after October 14, which will also be given on vehicles purchased till October 13, 2023. If you have bought an electric vehicle in the meantime, you can apply for subsidy with these steps.

How to apply for subsidy-

For this, first of all, after October 14, 2022, it is necessary to have an electric vehicle of the category that comes under subsidy in your name. Whose registration has been done in Uttar Pradesh.

To apply, the customer must first create a LoginID and Password to login to the Electric Vehicle Subsidy Portal (upevsubsidy.in). Whose information is available on the portal.

After filling the registration number of the vehicle while applying, the subsidy portal itself will fill some important information and the rest of the columns will have to be filled by the customer. In which the customer’s bank details (bank name, account number, IFSC code etc.) will be required to avail subsidy on EV.

The customer has to upload his photograph and signature on the portal. Keep in mind that the customer will upload the same photograph and signature, which he had uploaded on the vehicle portal through the dealer at the time of vehicle registration.

The customer has to upload his canceled check or passbook to verify the details of the bank accounts. Keep in mind that the bank account must be in the name of the customer only, no other bank accounts will be accepted.

Before making the deposit, the customer will check that all the information given by him (both related to the vehicle and the customer) is correct. If any kind of mistake and wrong information is found heavy, the applicant will not be able to get subsidy on EV.

After applying, customers will also be able to see its status. To see this, they have to go to the application status, where the current status will appear after entering the last 5 digits of the vehicle number and chassis number.
