The Waiting Period Of Hyundai Exter Is Crossed Over 12 Weeks

Hyundai Venue Booking: Hyundai Motors has launched its new subcompact SUV in India on the 10th of this month, whose ex-showroom price starts at Rs 6 lakh. In a recent interaction, Hyundai’s COO, Tarun Garg revealed that the Exeter has received over 16,000 bookings since its bookings started in May.

Continuously increasing bookings

Talking about the bookings for Exeter, Garg said that since its launch, “bookings are coming in at the rate of 1,800 per day”. He also said that around 38 percent bookings have been done for the AMT, 22 percent for the CNG and 40 percent for the petrol manual version. This means equal bookings are being received for the automatic and manual versions.

Some dealer sources have confirmed that the waiting period for the new Xeter is up to 12 weeks depending on the variant. The waiting period for the Exeter manual and CNG variants is around six to eight weeks, while the waiting period for the automatic version is between 10 to 12 weeks. The AMT version has the longest waiting period despite the higher number of bookings for the Exeter manual.

The Hyundai Xtor competes with the Tata Punch, Citroën C3 and the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. The Punch has sold over 22,000 units since the bookings for the Exeter started in May. While fewer units of Citroën C3 and Maruti Suzuki Ignis have been sold. During this period, about 1,500 units of Citroën and about 8,900 units of Ignis have been sold.

The new Hyundai Xtor will compete with the most punch. Many first in segment features have been given in it. It gets a voice-enabled sunroof, dashcam, six airbags and ESC as standard across the range in addition to the CNG powertrain option.
