The Small Electric Car From Ligier Is Spotted During Testing In India

Ligier Mygi Electric Car: If you are fond of motor vehicles, then you must have heard about the French automobile company Ligier. It is particularly known for its association with the 24-hour Le Mans race between 1970 and 1975 and with Formula 1 racing between 1976 and 1996. We are talking about this company because Ligier is planning to launch its cheapest micro electric car Mygi in India. Testing of this car has already started on Indian roads. It is a 3 door micro electric car like MG Comet. Till now people are praising MG Comet for its design and Ligier also wants to take advantage of this opportunity.

India is currently one of the fastest developing countries in the world. Because of this, the automobile industry here is also progressing very fast. The market for electric vehicles is huge. The 2W, 3W and 4W segments in EVs are also witnessing tremendous growth and are in high demand. There are 28 electric cars currently available for sale in India. In which MG Comet is the smallest and most economical car. Its ex-showroom prices are between Rs 7.98 lakh to Rs 9.98 lakh. MG assembles the Comet at its Gujarat plant. Due to which this vehicle attracts only 15% customs duty, while the CBU model attracts 60% customs duty. Which is why this car is so cheap here.

How will it compete with MG Comet?

Unless Ligier manufactures the Mygi in India, it may not be possible for it to compete with the MG Comet at a lower price point. Talking about the Ligier Mygi electric car, it is currently the company’s most affordable model in the passenger vehicle space. Its prices are between 13,995 to 21,695 Euros, which means 12.57 lakh to 19.49 lakh rupees in Indian rupees. This electric car is available in four different trims in Europe, which include G.OOD, I.DEAL, E.PIC and R.EBEL. The first two trims get a range of 63 km. The base G.OOD variant gets 13-inch steel wheels with disc brakes, the I.DEAL gets 14-inch alloy wheels. While the top two trims get 15-inch alloy wheels with a range of 123 km, a 10″ touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay, a reverse camera and a few other features. While the MG Comet gets a range of 230 km/h with a host of connected car features. Range of charge is available.
