The Current Version Of Tata Harrier Is Spotted During The Testing In Spain

Tata Harrier Facelift: The Harrier, one of the popular SUVs from Tata Motors, has recently been spotted testing in Spain. But the model which has been spotted is currently being sold in India. This was not its facelift model. Its facelift model will be launched in India in the next few months.

Why is testing happening in Spain

This testing mule of the Harrier is being handled in Spain by Vitesco, not Tata Motors, which supplies a number of automotive parts to the company. This testing model has been given a 2.0-liter Stellantis Multijet diesel engine, which is BS6 Stage 2 compliant. It is learned that some sensors related to the emission requirements were being tested for the Harrier to see how it performs under the WLTP testing cycle and more stringent emission norms. However, the company has not confirmed whether it will sell the Harrier in the European market or not.

Diesel engine can be removed

These tests are likely to be done only to prepare the SUV for the next round of emission norms in India, which will be more stringent than the new BS6 Stage 2 norms. The diesel powertrain may continue in the Harrier and Safari for some time to come. Because people still prefer diesel engines in this segment.

When will the facelift model be launched?

The company is currently testing the mid-life updated models of the Tata Harrier and Safari, and it is expected to get major cosmetic tweaks to the exterior, a new interior and more features. The company may start production of the facelifted Harrier and Safari from next month.

who competes with
