Tata Punch Vs Hyundai Exter Which Is Better Suv To Buy See The Comparison Here

Car Comparison: Tata Punch has been one of the best selling micro SUVs, as well as Nexon has also been a big hit for the company. The Punch gets good looks, compact design and an optional AMT gearbox, which helps make it a better SUV. But in terms of size it is a bit small. Hence, others have also come in to capture this segment.

However, the biggest contender to compete with the Tata Punch is the Hyundai Xtor. Which will be launched soon. Which has been completely prepared to compete with it. Despite being a micro SUV, the 1.2L petrol engine is offered with an AMT option.

The Punch and Exeter will be in the same battle to attract customers to the micro SUV segment. Though there is no doubt about it, the punch comes with an attractive design, which also has good ground clearance. While the Exeter too gets a boxy SUV look, with a two-part grille and all the usual SUV-like features. In terms of size, the Exeter matches the Punch with the same length as seen in the pictures, while the wheelbase of the Exeter is 2450 mm and that of the Punch is 2445 mm. Both have cladding, wheel arches and a strong SUV look.

Talking about the cabin features of these vehicles, the Tata Punch gets a 6-speaker audio system, cruise control, auto headlamps, 7 inch touchscreen, electric folding mirrors, climate control, cooled glovebox and a rear view camera. While the Sunroof is also available with an 8-inch touchscreen, digital dial, climate control, connected car technology and dashcam in Hyundai Xter. The sunroof and dashcam here is one of the first features found in this segment.

While the Tata Punch has a 1.2L petrol engine with 86bhp, the Hyundai Xtor has a 1.2L petrol engine with 83bhp. Both the cars get a 5-speed manual transmission with AMT. The Exeter serves as the biggest rival to the Punch with similar features. Hence the price will act as a decision maker for many. While the Exeter is a micro SUV with great features, the Punch feels like a more robust SUV.
