Tata Motors: Tata Motors’ much-awaited electric car Punch EV has been spotted testing yet again, and this time it gets new alloy wheels and new interior bits. Spy shots reveal that the Punch EV will get alloy wheels of a new design as compared to the ICE Punch. The new testing mule from Electric Punch has seen a five-spoke design wheel. Along with this, rear disc brake has also been seen in it.

Talking about the interiors, the biggest change in the Punch EV is likely to be the new two-spoke steering wheel from Tata Motors, which was first showcased with the Curve concept and is likely to be found in the upcoming Nexon facelift. An illuminated logo and haptic touch controls will be found in the middle of this steering wheel.

The Punch EV will also get a 360-degree camera as the camera module is visible on the wing mirror in the pictures. Currently, only the Harrier and Safari in Tata Motors’ line-up offer 360-degree cameras. Also, it is likely to get a rotary drive selector and an electronic parking brake like the Nexon EV Max. The 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system has been seen in the testing model of Punch EV. But the company can introduce its production model with a 10.25-inch touchscreen.

The Punch EV is likely to get Tata Motors’ Ziptron powertrain, which will see a permanent magnet synchronous motor paired with a liquid-cooled battery. However, the details of its battery and electric motor have not been revealed yet. More than one battery pack options can be seen in this.

when will launch

Tata Punch EV can be launched during the festive season this year. Its price is expected to start from around Rs.10 lakh. It will compete in the market with the Citroën eC3, whose ex-showroom price is between Rs 11.50 lakh to Rs 12.43 lakh. It gets a range of up to 320 km per charge.
