2023 Tata Nexon: Domestic automaker Tata Motors is preparing to bring the facelift version of its three major SUVs Nexon, Harrier and Safari. The Nexon facelift will arrive in August 2023, while the updated Harrier and Safari will also be launched closer to the festive season of this year. The company is testing all the models. The new 2023 Nexon facelift will get a lot of cosmetic changes and features inspired by the Curve SUV along with a more powerful petrol engine.

The new subcompact SUV will get a new flat-bottom, two-spoke steering wheel and a square hub section with control buttons on either side, similar to the Curve concept with piano black finish. A backlit logo will be found in the center. The larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster will also be similar to the Curve concept. The HVAC console of the new Nexon will get an integrated touch based panel and two toggle switches. A patent image shows that it will get toggle 360 degree camera, eco mode, front and rear fog lamps, tail gate release, hazard lights, auto start/stop button and central locking, express cool function and climate control functions. This could be the first car from the company to come with paddle shifters.

Curve inspired design update

The overall design and styling of the new Nexon will be sharper than the current model. The front grille of this subcompact SUV will also get a diamond shaped twin grille design in the lower half and a full-wide LED light bar just above it, which will be connected to the headlamps. The side profile will be similar to the current model, except for the redesigned headlamps and a more simplified nose. Dynamic turn signals can be found in higher trims. Along with this, the taillamps will also be updated, which will be connected to the LED light bar, while the design of the rear bumper and tailgate will be slightly different.

powertrain

The new 2023 Tata Nexon facelift is likely to get a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine that will generate 125bhp power and 225Nm torque. The same engine will also be found in the Curve SUV. While the 1.5L diesel engine with the current model will also be available.

Will compete with Maruti Brezza

The new Nexon will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, which was updated by the company only last year. It gets a 1.5 liter petrol engine.
