Tata Motors: Tata Motors is continuously increasing its product lineup in the Indian market. This year, the company is going to bring updated versions of many of its popular SUVs, including Nexon, Harrier and Safari as well as Punch CNG and Punch EV. While the production-ready Curve Coupe SUV will be launched in the early months of 2024, Tata seems to have started preparations for the same. The company has recently filed a trademark application for Tata Frost, in which it has been informed that the company can launch its new midsize SUV in India with the same name.

Tata Motors introduced its Curve SUV in concept form at this year’s Auto Expo. It will be based on the company’s new ‘digital’ design language and new generation electric architecture. The company had revealed that the Curve will be offered with electric powertrain and ICE options. The new sketch images indicate that the new mid-size SUV could be offered with a CNG option as well.

Tata Curve features 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control and auto park assist with two toggles, dual free-standing digital screens (one for infotainment system and one for instrument cluster), three-layer dashboard , a floating center console, a rotary gear selector, a panoramic sunroof, a center armrest and a new two-spoke steering wheel with the company’s new logo at the center, as seen in its concept model.

A new 1.2L direct injection petrol engine will be seen in Tata Curve. It will be offered with both manual and automatic gearbox options. This engine can generate maximum power of 125bhp and torque of 225 Nm. Tata claims that the electric version of this SUV can get a range of 400 km-500 km. However, the battery pack details, power and torque outputs are yet to be revealed.
who will compete
After launch, this car will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and the upcoming Honda Elevate. Hyundai Creta is currently the segment leader, which is available with a diesel and a petrol option.
