Royal Enfield Sales Report: Royal Enfield has released its sales figures for June 2023. The company has seen growth in the domestic market, while the company’s performance in exports has not been good. Royal Enfield registered a growth of 26% last month with a total sale of 77,109 units. The company’s total sales also increased by 22 percent to 2,27,706 units in the second quarter of 2023 as against 1,87,205 units sold in the second quarter of 2022.
Sales increased, exports decreased
In June 2023, Royal Enfield’s domestic market has increased by 34 percent to 67,495 units, which was more than 50,265 units sold in June 2023. Currently, the company’s portfolio includes models such as Bullet 350, Classic 350, Hunter 350 and Meteor 350, which have sold the most. However, the MoM has registered a decline as compared to 70,795 motorcycles sold in the domestic markets in May 2023. Also, in June 2023, exports also decreased by 14 percent to 9,614 units. Whereas in June 2022, 11,142 units were exported. Annual exports also decreased by 31 percent to 20,535 units in the period of FY 2023-24, as compared to 29,563 units exported in the previous year.
new models coming
Recently the company has announced to bring several new motorcycles in its portfolio in the next few years. According to the company’s plan, out of a total of 13 new models, 2 bikes will be launched in the 350cc segment, 5 in the 450cc segment and 6 in the 650cc segment. The company will launch 4 new bikes in the market every year.
New plant built in Nepal
Recently, this Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 was spotted testing. Post launch, it will compete with the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G310 and the upcoming Hero XPulse 440. Royal Enfield has started selling its vehicles in Nepal as well. To further improve its performance in the Indian and International markets, Royal Enfield has set up its 5th International CKD Assembly Unit in the country. Built in association with the Triveni Group, the new factory is located in Birgunj, Nepal. It is joined by other similar facilities from countries such as Brazil, Thailand, Colombia and Argentina. The center is spread over an area of 1 lakh square feet and has a manufacturing capacity of 20,000 units per annum. The assembly of the Classic 350 and the Scrambler 411 will start here first.
