Royal Enfield Bikes: According to a news from Money Control, Royal Enfield is preparing to launch five of its bikes in the next 2-3 months. Which will be based on the company’s 350 cc platform.
Royal Enfield may launch its 450 cc bike Himalayan in the next three months, while sales of Himalayan 411 and Scram 411 will continue.
The market share of Royal Enfield’s parent company Eicher Motors was reduced by Rs 11,300 crore last week. Because the shareholders feared that Hero MotoCorp and Bajaj Auto could make a dent in the company’s earnings.
For the last few days, the premium two wheeler market is heating up, due to which the company is seeing a threat to Royal Enfield’s 90 percent market share. Hero and Harley Davidson have launched the Harley Davidson X440 bike in India on July 3, which is present with a 440cc engine. The starting price of which is Rs 2.29 lakh. Whereas in comparison Royal Enfield Classic 350cc and Meteor 350cc bikes are available at 15 percent less premium.
On 5th July, Triumph launched its Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. The Speed 400 is a street naked motorcycle based on the bigger Street Twin 900. The price of this bike has been kept at Rs 2.33 lakh, which the company has made in association with Bajaj Auto.
