Royal Enfield Is Making A New 750cc Engine For Their Upcoming New Bikes

Upcoming Royal Enfield Bikes: Two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield, after taking the company a level further with its twin-cylinder Interceptor 650, is preparing to move further. For this, the company is all set to enter the world’s largest 750cc segment in 2025, after raising the bar. According to sources, the company has started working on it. This is a new platform codenamed R, on which 750cc bike models can be built.

Company is preparing 750 cc engine

The company is working on a project codenamed R2G, which includes a 750cc bobber motorcycle, after receiving significant feedback from several other markets including India, North America, Europe and the United Kingdom. It is primarily being developed at its technical center in Leicester, UK. The new bike will be positioned at the top of Royal Enfield’s portfolio being the most powerful motorcycle.

What is the plan of the company

The company is making this preparation at a time when it is facing competition from premium motorcycle manufacturers Harley Davidson and Triumph in the domestic market. Siddharth Lal, MD of Eicher Motors had already said that the main focus of the company will be on mid size motorcycles i.e. 350 cc to 750 cc range. Currently the company is present with 350cc to 650cc engine bikes. After 750 cc, the company can enter the EV segment.

Many new models will come

According to sources, the 750cc engine could be a revised version of its twin-cylinder 650cc engine. Which is specially designed for major international markets like North America and Europe. While domestic customers will also get the option of a major upgrade from the 350 cc bike. The company is preparing to bring new models based on all its 350, 450, 650 and 750cc engines.

To compete with Royal Enfield, Harley Davidson is going to bring a new bike 440X in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp, which the company will launch this month.
