Renault Motors Planning Some New EV And SUV In India

Upcoming Renault Cars: At present, Renault Motors is facing a lot of challenges in the highly competitive Indian automotive market. But now for this the company is preparing to bring some new vehicles in the market. The company, along with its subsidiary Nissan, is preparing to invest US $ 600 million (i.e. about Rs 5,300 crore). This investment will be used to increase production capacity, enhance research and development, introduce new electric vehicles (EVs) and strengthen infrastructure to manufacture zero carbon vehicles by 2045.

What did the company say?

Renault India Managing Director Venkatram Mamilapalle has said that the company is expecting an increase in sales from 2024. The company will again enter the mid-size SUV segment to compete with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hirider, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Honda Elevate. Although information about the new product has not been given, but it is likely to be a new generation duster. There is no information available about its launch right now.

Company wants to increase market share

Renault is preparing to bring two ICE vehicles along with a mass-market electric car. The new Renault EV and the larger ‘C’ segment car are expected to go on sale by 2025. The company aims to add two million new customers by 2030. With the launch of its new mass-market EV, the company aims to get one-fourth of its sales from EVs by 2030.

Company’s exports are increasing

Renault aims to increase exports from India along with strengthening its manufacturing capabilities. Currently, the company exports Kwid, Kiger and Triber to 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific, SAARC, East Africa, Indian Ocean regions and South Africa in the country. In 2022, the company has exported over 27,000 units of vehicles. Recently, Renault produced the millionth vehicle in India from its Chennai plant.
