MG Comet EV: MG Motors has recently launched its second electric car in the country in the form of the Comet EV. Prior to this only the ZS EV was available. The ex-showroom price of MG Comet ranges between Rs 7.98 lakh to Rs 9.98 lakh. There is a special buyback scheme for the customers on this car from MG Motor. Under which customers can return the Comet to the company after three years and get 60 percent of its price back. The car sold 1,184 units last month and was the second best selling car of MG last month.

Hector leading

Hector and Hector Plus have been the highest sales of MG Motor India in June 2023, with a total sale of 2,170 units. Its sales registered a decline of about 10% year-on-year. After this, Astor was sold at number three, ZS EV at fourth and then Gloster.

MG Comet EV

The exterior of the car gets modern design elements with an LED light bar, an LED strip connecting the ORVMs and an LED tail lamp. It gets 12-inch alloy wheels. It measures 3 meters in length, 1,640 mm in height and 1,505 mm in width and has a long wheelbase of 2,010 mm. MG Comet EV gets 5 color options including Dual Tone (Apple Green + Starry Black and Candy White + Starry Black), Apple Green, Candy White, Aurora Silver and Starry Black.

It gets a spacious cabin which is sufficient to seat 4 people. It also gets an all-digital driver display unit with dual 10.25-inch screens and infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 2-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, 3 USB ports and over 55 connected car features. .

Battery and Range

MG Comet EV has a 17.3 kWh battery pack which comes with IP67 rating. It gets 42 HP power and 110 Nm torque. It gets an ARAI certified range of 230 km per charge. The company is also giving a warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh km on its battery.
