Maruti Suzuki Will Launch Their New Generation Swift By The End Of 2023

2024 Maruti Swift: Veteran automaker Maruti Suzuki India is ready to introduce the fifth generation of its hatchback Swift in the Japanese market this year. According to a recent report in Japanese media, the company will world premiere the Swift hatchback by the end of this year. Swift’s sportier variant Swift Sport will be launched in 2024 in its all-new avatar. At the same time, the Next Generation Swift is expected to arrive in India early next year, possibly in February 2024. At present, the company has no plans to introduce Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport in India.

What is expected to change?

One major upgrade in the upcoming Swift will be in its powertrain. According to media reports, the new Swift will be equipped with Toyota’s strong hybrid technology. Powertrain is expected to include a 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine with Atkinson cycle. However, the option of a strong hybrid powertrain can be given in the top variant.

The upcoming Swift will be the most fuel efficient hatchback car in the country. Its mileage will be around 35-40 km per liter. In addition, the Swift’s new strong hybrid powertrain will meet CAFÉ II (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) norms. The lower variants of the upcoming Swift will continue with the 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine, which the company is currently using. CNG option can also be found in it. It is expected that the new Swift will come with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. The 2024 Maruti Swift Sport is expected to get a 1.4L K14D turbo petrol engine with mild hybrid technology.

Talking about its exterior, big changes will be seen. The stance of the new hatchback will be more angular as compared to the current Swift. Also, it is expected that the new grille, sleeker headlamps with new LED elements, faux air vents and tweaked bumper will be seen in the front. Swift can get new body panels, blacked-out pillars, prominent wheel arches and roof mounted spoiler.

Talking about the interior, a new SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, Suzuki Voice Control and over-the-air updates (OTA) can be seen.

Will compete with Tata Altroz

This car will compete with Tata Altroz. In which a 1.2L Revotron engine is available. It has diesel, petrol and CNG fuel options.
