Maruti Suzuki Invicto MPV: Maruti Suzuki is ready to launch its most expensive car ‘Invicto’ in India. The price of this car is expected to be above Rs.20 lakh. The Invicto is the rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Highcross. It is a three row, 7-seater MPV. Maruti’s Sales and Marketing Director Shashank Srivastava has told that, “The company is hoping to capture a fair share of the market with the vehicle sold in petrol and hybrid options.” He added that “MSI plans to start bookings for the Invicto through the Nexa retail channel from June 19.” He also added that in the Rs 10-15 lakh segment, we have become the leader with around 30 per cent market share, now we are entering this three row segment above Rs 20 lakh, which is creating a lot of demand among the buyers. Time is becoming very popular.
Will be launched on 5th July
Maruti Suzuki will launch the Invicto on 5th July. It will be produced at Toyota’s factory in Bidadi in Ramanagara district outside Bengaluru. It will be sold through Nexa retail showroom. It will also have a good impact on the brand value of the company. The company is expecting a good response from the market in the above Rs 20 lakh segment, as it has received a good response in the Rs 10-15 lakh segment.
Maruti wants to become the segment leader
MSI is aiming to become the leading SUV company with around 25 percent market share in this financial year. Recently the company has included two products like Frons and Jimny in the SUV segment. Suzuki and Toyota have signed an agreement that allows them to work on the development of new technologies for the Indian market as well as share products and platforms.
Delivery may be delayed
Toyota is facing challenges due to problems in the supply chain. Given the high demand and short supply, there is uncertainty about how many cars Toyota will be able to manufacture and supply to Maruti. Due to the huge booking backlog, Toyota has temporarily stopped the sale of the top-end variant of this model, for which the waiting period has reached close to two years. Due to which Maruti buyers can also get a long waiting period for this.
To compete with this car, Tata Motors including Kia and Hyundai can also expand their lineup.
