Maruti Suzuki Jimny: The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is available for sale in several global markets, but only in the 3-door variant. The ‘Rhino Edition’ of the Jimny is quite popular in Malaysia. This edition comes with a host of cosmetic changes. Because of which its look is quite attractive. It has been made available with a 4×4 drivetrain, which is already available with the Jimny and the older Grand Vitara.

The old grille has been given in its front, on which the branding named ‘Suzuki’ is seen instead of the logo. At the front, there is a dark chrome panel surrounding the mesh grille on which the round headlight is set. Along with this, its front bumper has also been modified, on which cladding can be seen.

The side gets exclusive stickers and a red colored mudguard, along with a bigger sticker on the lower half of the doors. There is also side cladding to increase the protection, which makes it a good off-roader car.

If we talk about its rear part, then no change is seen. Except the ‘Rhino’ badging on the boot of the Rhino Edition. The spare wheel gets the same covering as the normal model in this edition.

Talking about the interior of this special edition, there are no other changes except premium foot mats. The theme of the cabin is also all-black like the regular model. Its feature list is also same, but its Malaysia version has been given a 7-inch touchscreen. While the premium 9-inch touchscreen unit is available with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in the 5-door and top variants of its India model.

The Indian and Malaysian variants of the Jimny are powered by the same 1.5l four-cylinder petrol engine, with a standard 4×4 drivetrain. The Indian model of the Jimny gets a 5-speed MT and 4-speed AT gearbox option with the engine, while the Malaysian version 3-door only gets a 4-speed AMT gearbox.

When will it be launched in India?

It may be too early to say or expect anything about the launch of the Jimny Rhino Edition in India. But it can be expected to be launched in India in the future. The Rhino Edition will be a collector’s variant and only 30 units will be made. Along with this, the company can also launch a special edition of 5-door Jimny in the coming times. At present, the company sells this car at a price ranging from Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 14.89 lakh ex-showroom.
