Maruti Suzuki Off-Road Cars: The Maruti Suzuki Jimny has once again made its presence felt in the 4X4 lifestyle segment, along with the Grand Vitara. The company has introduced its Jimny with AllGrip Pro system while Grand Vitara has introduced all wheel drive with AllGrip Select system. Both these vehicles are completely different from each other, but are capable of taking you off-road. In which Jimny is a better option for off road. The Jimny is equipped with a proper 4X4 system, which comprises of 4H and 4L along with 2X two-wheel drive. Apart from this, the low range gearbox present in it gives a great experience on off-road. Even in case the grip is not present, you can select it by a lever. The Jimny comes with more capacity than the Grand Vitara AWD. While the Grand Vitara all wheel drive is more capable than its front wheel drive counterpart. There is a round dialer in it, from which you can choose the option of Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock mode. It is electronically controlled, which you can select according to your wish. After this, you see the performance of the car, like when there is a chance of skidding in snow mode, it sends power to all four wheels to control traction. You can even lock it. So that when you have such things in front of you then the power can go to all the four wheels. It comes in very handy in this type of condition. However, it is not capable of working with proper low range gear like the Maruti Jimny.

The Jimny is smaller than the Grand Vitara, but offers more off-roading capability. Also, it lacks features as compared to the Grand Vitara AWD. Maruti Suzuki Jimny is available with automatic option. While the Grand Vitara can only be bought with a gearbox.
