Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG Coming Soon With 6 Airbags

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Veteran automaker Maruti Suzuki is about to make some changes to its compact crossover Fronx in the Nexa dealership lineup to compete with the recently launched Hyundai Xtor and the best-selling micro SUV in the segment in the Indian market, Tata Punch. Franks is available in the market in a total of five variants Sigma, Delta, Delta +, Zeta and Alpha. In this you get three fuel options, which include 1.0 liter turbo petrol boosterjet, 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol, and 1.2 liter CNG kit. Talking about their price, the price of Sigma variant in CNG is Rs 8.42 lakh, Delta variant is priced at Rs 9.28 lakh, CNG variants are Rs 95,000 more expensive than petrol variants.

Will all variants be equipped with six airbags?

According to the leaked information, Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce the Fronx CNG variant with six airbags. Currently, both the Sigma and Delta variants get two airbags as standard. According to a report, the company can equip all the models of Franks with six airbags as standard, which would be a better step in terms of safety features.

Front Safety Features

Talking about the safety features of the Frons, the Sigma variant gets hill hold assist, reverse parking sensors, electronic stability program and rear defogger. Other features include automatic climate control, keyless entry and go, fabric seat upholstery, dual-tone interiors, 60:40 split rear seats, power windows, tilt-adjustable steering, steel wheels with wheel covers and halogen projector headlamps.

The Delta variant, on the other hand, gets additional features like 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, voice assistant features, over-the-air updates, 4-speaker sound system, USB and Bluetooth connectivity. Also electrically adjustable wing mirrors, steering wheel-mounted controls, a rear parcel tray, turn indicators on the wing mirrors and chrome garnish on the grille.

Franks are in demand in the market

Within two months of its launch in the Indian car market, Maruti Suzuki has sold 17,854 units of the Franks, including 9,863 units in May and 7,991 units in June.
