Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Electric Hybrid Price Hike: On Monday, Maruti Suzuki India has offered an alarm feature for pedestrian safety in the electric hybrid variant of its SUV Grand Vitara, due to which its price has been increased by up to Rs 4,000 from the company. Safety of driver and pedestrian

The company has announced the addition of Acoustic Vehicle Alert System (AVAS) to the Intelligent Electric Hybrid variant of its Grand Vitara. Giving this information in a regulatory filing, Maruti Suzuki India said that due to this technology, drivers and pedestrians will be able to know about the presence of the vehicle. Which will help in keeping both safe.

Range will be 5 feet

This safety feature added to the Grand Vitara will emit a low-level alert sound that can be heard up to five feet away. Due to which pedestrians and other drivers present nearby will be able to know that there is a vehicle around them. According to the company, after adding this feature for the safety of pedestrians, the Grand Vitara will be compliant with the upcoming norms.

New prices will be applicable from July 17

The price of these variants of Grand Vitara increased by the company will be applicable from July 17, 2023, in which an increase of up to Rs 4,000 can be seen. The company sells its Grand Vitara Electric Hybrid car at a price ranging from Rs 18.29 lakh to Rs 19.79 lakh ex-showroom.
