Indian Army Ordered For Mahindra Scorpio Classic For Military

Mahindra & Mahindra: Giving information, Mahindra & Mahindra has revealed that the company has received an order from the Indian Army to deliver 1,850 units. This information has been given by tweeting from the official Twitter handle of the company. The order placed by the Army is for the Scorpio Classic. It is clear from the photo of the Scorpio Classic designed for the army that it is different from the normal Scorpio. This will work to strengthen the army further.

The army-spec Scorpio has been painted matte camo green, similar to the Tata Storm GS800. Other than that, the Scorpio looks similar to the older version with the new grille and alloy wheels.

In the Mahindra Scorpio Classic available in the market, the company offers a 2.2l mHawk diesel engine, which generates maximum power of 132PS and peak torque of 300Nm. In which a 6-speed manual transmission is available as a standard feature, which works to give power to its rear wheel. However, no information has been given about any feature of Scorpio prepared for the army. But it is expected that it will be given 140PS/320Nm power with 4X4 drivetrain.

While giving information recently, Mahindra had told that the company has achieved success in selling 9,00,000 units of Scorpio. At present, the company sells its SUV with two variants. One Scorpio-N and the other Scorpio Classic, in which Scorpio-N has been introduced with new features and design, while the Classic works to provide a powerful experience without any frills.
