Hyundai Xtra Launch: Small SUV cars are becoming very popular in India and people buying hatchbacks are also shifting towards this segment. Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Franks sell well in this segment. Seeing the popularity of this segment, Hyundai Motor is about to launch the Exeter micro SUV, the prices of which will be announced on July 10. It will be the smallest and cheapest SUV of the company.

Variants and Price

The company has already started booking the Hyundai Xter with an amount of Rs 11,000. This mini SUV will be available in a total of 15 variants of five trims. Including EX, S, SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect. The price of this car can range from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.

The new Xeter SUV can get a 1.2 liter petrol engine and factory fitted CNG kit. Both 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options will be available with the petrol engine, while only manual transmission will be available with the CNG. The petrol engine found in it generates power of 83bhp and torque of 114Nm. While its biggest rival Tata Punch gets a 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 86bhp power and 113Nm torque. It gets the option of 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. Its CNG version is going to be launched soon.

Dimension

In terms of dimensions, the Hyundai Xtor will be longer and bigger than the Punch. Its length will be 3800-3900 mm, height 1631 mm and wheelbase 2450 mm, while the Punch will have a length of 3700 mm, width 1690 mm, height 1595 mm and wheelbase 2435 mm.

Features

The new Xeter will get a dashcam with first in segment dual camera and electric sunroof. Along with this, it will also get standard 6 airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, isofix, hill hold assist, 3-point seat belt and all seat seatbelt reminder and many other features including tire pressure monitoring system.
