Har Ghar Tiranga: There are only a few days left for the country’s Independence Day and like the year 2022, this year also the central government is running the tricolor campaign at every house. Under this, to ensure that the national flag reaches the farthest corners of the country, the work has been assigned to the Indian Postal Department by the government. Last year, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), the Government of India started the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan and the Department of Posts (DOP) took this campaign to the end.

Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan August 13-15, 2023

This year also the government is organizing the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ between August 13-15, 2023. It has been decided to take advantage of the large network of 1.6 lakh post offices in the country and sell Indian flags in all post offices of the country under the campaign.

The sale of tricolor flags will start soon in 1.6 lakh post offices of India Post. People can buy the flag by going to their nearest post office. Apart from this, the national flag can also be purchased through the postal department’s e-post office facility (www.epostoffice.gov.in).

Selfie on social media

People of the country can take selfies with the national flag unfurled at their homes and offices and upload it on social media with hashtags #IndiaPost4Tirnga, #HarGharTirnga, #HarDilTirnga. Through this, every household can become a conscious part of the tricolor campaign.

The campaign was very successful last year

The Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan was launched by the government last year to instil a sense of patriotism in the hearts of people and a sense of pride for traveling to India. The campaign was hugely successful in 2022, where 23 crore families hoisted the tricolor at their homes and six crore people uploaded selfies on the Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) website.
