Flight Cancelled: Parking problem regarding G20, more than 1000 flights may be canceled

Flight Cancelled: More than one thousand flights can be canceled at Delhi airport regarding the G20 summit. It has been said in the report that these flights can be canceled to make space for Delhi airport parking. Airlines have been directed to cut down on aircraft parking for G20 summit aircraft parking.

Airlines have said that instead of parking their planes at Delhi airport, they can keep them standing at any other airport. The G20 summit will be held on 9 September. At the same time, airlines have also said that this may affect the network across the country. Warned that flights can be cancelled.

According to the Economic Times report, to maintain order, the Delhi Police has been advised to keep many roads closed, cancel the plans of overcrowded hotels and travel agents. Significantly, representatives of about 30 countries will participate in the G20 summit to be held in Delhi on September 9 and 10.

50 plus special aircraft will arrive 

More than 50 special aircraft will fly into Delhi for the summit, which will be attended by the likes of US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Chinese Premier Xi Jinping.

Problem growing due to Go First 

Tell that there are about 220 parking stands at Delhi airport. All are used because of the increase in air traffic. Engine problems and the bankruptcy of GoFirst have compounded the parking problem with 50 planes grounded at the airport.

Aircraft can be parked at these places 

The Aviation Ministry has said that in view of the parking problem, airlines’ planes can be sent to nearby airports like Lucknow and Jaipur instead of Delhi Airport. While top luxury hotels are also fully booked, including Taj Hotel, Leela Palace and ITC Maurya.
