Digvijaya Singh Kanwar Yatra: In the election year, another picture of Congress’s soft Hindutva was seen in Jabalpur on Monday. Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh also reached Gaurighat on the banks of the Narmada to participate in the traditional ritual Kanwar Yatra here. After worshiping Narmada, Digvijay Singh himself left for the journey with a kanwar on his shoulder. During this, he did not answer any political question when asked by the journalists.

This is the reason why former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh also participated in the huge Kanwar Yatra being taken out in Sanskardhani Jabalpur. Along with Congress Rajya Sabha member Digvijay Singh, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Annu, former minister Lakhan Ghanghoria and many Congress officials participated in this Kanwar Yatra.

In fact, the historic Kanwar Yatra of Madhya Pradesh is organized on the second Monday of the month of Sawan in Jabalpur. During this, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh first worshiped Narmada at Gaurighat. After that he left carrying the kanwar on his shoulder. It is estimated that in this 35 kilometer long journey, 1 lakh Kanwariyas will reach Kailash Dham located in Matamar by taking the water of Maa Narmada. Due to this historic Kanwar Yatra, today Jabalpur will be resounding with the slogan of Bol Bam throughout the day.

This Kanwar Yatra is being taken out for 10 years
Lakhs of Kanwariyas participate in this Kanwar Yatra of Jabalpur, which has been registered in the Guinness Book of World Records. This Kanwar Yatra, which runs for about 35 kilometers, starts from Gaurighat on the banks of the Narmada. From here, the Kanwariyas leave for Lord Bholenath’s temple in Kailash Dham, Khamaria, taking water from Mother Narmada and a plant. Coming out from the main square intersections of the city, the whole culture gets engrossed in the devotion of Bhole in this Kanwar Yatra. In this Kanwar Yatra, which is being taken out for the last 10 years, the number of Kanwars is increasing year by year.

Starting from West Vidhansabha seat of Jabalpur, this Kavad Yatra will reach Matamar Dham via North Central Vidhansabha, East Vidhansabha and finally Cantt Vidhansabha. For this reason, there is a lot of enthusiasm among the political parties about this Kavad Yatra. Leaders of both the Congress and BJP parties participate in the Sanskar Kavad Yatra.
