EV Adoption: According to a report in Times of India, according to a survey conducted by Borgo-Intra City Delivery Service, more than 75 percent service people have adopted electric vehicles leaving their petrol vehicles. Feedback was taken from around 6,000 riders, who are themselves a part of this change and are working as delivery workers. This is a sign of a big change, which even the last mile delivery people are showing their share in adopting electric vehicles.
The survey points to the growing popularity of electric two-wheelers among last-mile delivery riders. While most of the delivery riders have already adopted or expressed their willingness to adopt electric two wheelers. This is proof that electric vehicles are proving to be economical, sustainable and better for delivery service.
According to the survey, more than 75.6% of the participants have already adopted an electric vehicle for their work and 70.5% of those who have not yet adopted an EV are ready to adopt an electric vehicle for their work in the future Are. 77.4% of the people we spoke to highlighted the biggest advantage of adopting an EV, that it saves a lot of money spent on fuel.
Apart from this, there are other benefits like low fare, smooth ride and discount on charging it. According to the information received in the survey, the biggest advantage of using an electric vehicle is the saving of money due to it. More than 50% of the people participating in the survey told that, using EV saves more than 30% of the expenditure on petrol.
Apart from this, 59.8% of the people participating in the survey considered the electric vehicle better, while 40.2% considered the petrol option better. Due to which the difficulties in finding its charging, reduction in battery range, more time taken for charging and some people also mentioned about its maintenance.
