Mobile based QR Tickets: If you travel daily by Delhi Metro then there is a good news for you. Actually, from next month you will not need to stand in line to get token because DMRC is going to start phone based QR ticket service from next month. Currently its testing is going on which will end by the end of June. After this, people will be able to take tickets from mobile and with the help of this they will be able to enter and exit.
DMRC’s Chief Executive Director of Corporate Communications Anuj Dayal said that at present internal testing of phone-based QR ticket is going on in which many things are being focused so that passengers do not face any problem. He said that this facility is expected to start by the end of this month.
Will be able to book tickets through DMRC app
To get a metro ticket, you have to install the official app of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation in your phone. After installing the app, you will have to go to Get Ticket and enter the entry and exit point ie station and your QR ticket will be generated as soon as you make the payment. You will have to put this QR ticket at the AFC gate and in this way you will be able to travel in the metro. Note, the QR code will also have a time limit, if you exit from anywhere after the fixed time, then you will have to pay extra charge.
More than 50 lakh people travel every day
According to DMRC, currently 75% people travel with Metro card, which is 3% less than last year. Last year in the month of May, about 78% travelers used Metro card. Before Corona, 60 to 65 lakh people used to travel in Delhi Metro every day, which has now come down to between 55 to 60 lakh.
