Citroën C3X Sedan: Citroën entered the Indian market in April 2021 with the launch of its premium SUV C5 Aircross. After this the company launched the C3 hatchback and the electric hatchback eC3. After this, now the company is preparing to launch a new mid-size SUV C3 Aircross this year. The company wants to make India its biggest market outside Europe. The company wants to achieve 30% of its total sales outside Europe by the year 2025. Along with this, the company is also expanding its dealership network in India.
Spot happened during testing
Citroën has revealed plans to launch a new product in India in 2024 under its C-Cubed programme. But at the moment the name and details of this model have not been revealed. However, according to an estimate, this new car could be the Citroën C3 X crossover sedan. The sedan was recently spotted testing in Bengaluru, which was completely covered. This car will compete with cars like Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus. Its price can be around 10 lakh rupees.
Engine and Design
The Citroën C3X sedan is expected to share the same 1.2L turbo petrol engine with the C3 hatchback and the C3 Aircross SUV. This engine generates power output of 110PS and torque of 190Nm. It can get the option of both manual and automatic gearbox. The sedan could be based on the CMP modular platform from the C3. The side profile of the sedan has been seen in the new spy pictures, in which a black rear panel has been given with a coupe style roof. The design and styling of this model could be inspired by the company’s global-spec C4X, which may share some design elements with the C3 hatchback.
who will compete
This sedan will compete with many other cars including Hyundai Verna and Honda City. In which the option of one petrol and one turbo petrol engine is available, and its ex-showroom price starts from Rs. 10.96 lakhs. While the Honda City gets a 1.5L petrol and a 1.5L petrol-hybrid engine option.
