No Road Tax On Hybrid Vehicle: To promote electric and green mobility, the Chandigarh Transport Department has announced waiver of road tax on Strong Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid vehicles.

Road tax will not have to be paid from 2023 to 2028

Earlier this year, the Union Territory of Chandigarh had waived road tax on electric vehicles and recently included hybrid vehicles in this waiver. Due to which the Strong Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid vehicles will become cheaper by about Rs 78,000. This benefit will be given to the customers buying these vehicles from March 18, 2023 to April 17, 2028.
