BMW X5 Facelift Launched: BMW India has launched the facelifted version of its X5 SUV in India. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 93.90 lakh. It has been given the option of a petrol and a diesel engine. Mild-hybrid system has been given with both the engines. This car will be available in M Sport and Xline trims.
Design
The X5 facelift gets a redesigned bumper with an optional stylish grille (40i petrol only). Along with this, slimmer headlights have been given and with this BMW’s signature LED daytime running lamp has also been given. 21-inch alloy wheels have been given in the side profile. The rear profile only gets redesigned tail-lights.
Interior & Features
The interiors of the X5 facelift get a new twin-screen panel that includes a 14.9-inch infotainment screen running BMW’s iDrive 8 operating system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The drive selector is now replaced by a glass toggle switch. It also gets Harman Kardon music system, a head-up display (on M Sport trims) and ambient lighting, sport seats with heating function and ventilated seats in M Sport trim.
BMW has also included driver assist system in this car, which includes features like adaptive cruise control, parking assist with 360-degree camera, reverse assist, remote parking via smartphone and drive recording. Along with this, six airbags, dynamic stability control and many other features have also been given in it.
powertrain
The X5 facelift is equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system with petrol and diesel powertrain options. The xDrive 40i variant gets a 3.0-litre, straight-six petrol engine that generates 381hp power and 520 Nm of torque, while the xDrive 30d variant gets a 3.0-litre, straight-six diesel engine that generates 286hp power and 650Nm produces torque of. Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox for the electric motor that outputs 12 hp and 200 Nm. The petrol engine can do 0-100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds, while the diesel can do it in just 6.1 seconds.

The ex-showroom price of BMW X5 facelift is Rs 93.90 lakh for xDrive 40i xLine, Rs 95.90 lakh for xDrive 30d xLine variant, Rs 1.05 crore for xDrive 40i M Sport and Rs 1.07 crore for xDrive 30d M Sport.
who will compete
The BMW X5 facelift will compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLE, which gets a 2.0 L turbo petrol, a 3.0 L diesel and a 3.0 petrol engine option.
