Audi India Debuted Their Q8 E Tron And Q8 E Tron Sportback For Indian Market

Audi India: Luxury vehicle manufacturer Audi India has debuted its Q8 e-tron in India. The Q8 e-tron company is the new avatar of the fully electric SUV. It will be launched in standard SUV and sportback coupe SUV body styles.

Audi Q8 e-tron Design

The facelifted Q8 e-tron gets a blacked-out grille surround that goes all the way down to the headlights. Its top has been given a new net design with a re-designed grille and a new monochrome logo of the company. A light bar fitted in it is designed to project light downwards. The Q8 e-tron gets a reprofiled front bumper with large air intakes on either side. The side profile hasn’t been changed much, with both the Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback models sporting 20-inch alloy wheels. Both get ‘Audi’ and ‘Q8 e-tron quattro’ written on the blacked-out B-pillar. At the rear, the new Q8 badging has been given on the newly designed bumper and tail-gate.

Interior & Features

The interior layout of the new Q8 e-tron is similar to the current e-tron. It gets features like heating, ventilation and massage in powered front seats with memory function. The center console houses a dual touchscreen, with a 10.1-inch screen for the infotainment system and an 8.6-inch screen for other controls like the HVAC. The Q8 e-tron also gets a digital instrument cluster. It also gets a 16-speaker Bang and Olufsen speaker system, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, 4-zone climate control and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Powertrain and Range

The Audi Q8 e-tron gets a 114kWh battery pack, which is capable of offering 600 km WLTP cycle range. It has two electric motors, which jointly generate 408 hp power and 664 Nm torque. This car is capable of accelerating from 0-100kph in just 5.6 seconds. A 22kW AC charger will be available with this car, but it also supports 170kW DC fast charging. With the AC charger, it can be charged from 0-100 percent in six hours. Whereas with DC fast charger it can be charged up to 10-80 percent in 31 minutes. In this car too, like the current model, the charging port has been given on both the sides.

who will compete

Following the discontinuation of the Mercedes-Benz EQC, the Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback will now compete with the Jaguar I-Pace, priced between Rs 1.19 crore and Rs 1.24 crore, ex-showroom. Audi India will soon launch the Q8 e-tron in the country.
