EV Subsidy Portal: In order to provide the benefit of subsidy to the customers buying electric vehicles in UP, the Yogi government has launched the subsidy portal upevsubsidy.in today i.e. on Wednesday. Due to which customers buying electric vehicles after 14 October 2022 can apply online for subsidy by visiting this portal. For which 4-level verification will have to be completed and as soon as it is completed, the subsidy will be transferred to the bank account of the EV owner. Through this effort, the government is trying to promote electric vehicles in Uttar Pradesh.

4-level verification

Under the Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy, 2022, the subsidy incentive scheme can be availed with certain conditions. The electric vehicles on which subsidy will be given should have been purchased after 14 October 2022. Also, its benefit can be taken till 13 October 2023. To get subsidy, one has to apply on the web portal upevsubsidy.in.

According to the information given by the government, after applying on the portal, the process of four level verification will be completed. In which first verification will be done at dealer level, later registration will be done at department level and lastly it will be verified by TI. According to the information given by the EV owner on the portal, the participating bank will transfer the subsidy to the customer’s bank account in about three working days as soon as the verification is complete.

Who will get subsidy?

Subsidy on electric vehicles will be given only to the private buyer. However, the provision of subsidy is also for aggregator or fleet operators. For customers buying EV without battery, the total subsidy will be up to 50 percent. At present, no limit has been fixed for giving subsidy.
