Sedan Sales Report June 2023: There is a lot of sale of cars and vehicles in almost every segment in the Indian market. Today we will discuss the sedan segment. Although the demand for sedan cars in the country is not as much as that of SUVs, but still they are sold in large quantities. Let us know the list of top 10 sedan cars to be sold in June 2023.

Last month, the sales of sedan cars decreased by 11.50 percent to 32,024 units. While in June 2022, it sold 36,186 units. However, it has seen sales of 1.57 percent on MoM basis as compared to 31,530 units sold in May 2023.
Dzire leading
Maruti Dzire topped the list of top 10 sedan cars sold in June 2023. However, its sales decreased as compared to June 2022, and its sales came down to 9,322 units. While in June 2022, it sold 12,597 units. Its market share also fell from 35.89 percent in May 2023 to 29.11 percent last month.
Aura stood second
Hyundai Aura came second in this list with sales of 4,907 units. This was an annual growth of 19.62 percent with sales of 4,102 units sold in June 2022. It saw an increase of 4.25 percent on MoM basis as compared to 4,707 units sold in May 2023. This was followed by the sale of 4,001 units of Hyundai Verna at number three, which was an increase of 134.94 percent as compared to 1,703 units in June 2022. MoM sales also registered a growth of 8.52 percent as compared to 3,687 units sold in May 2023.
Amaze finished fourth
Honda Amaze sales are also expected to grow by 7.52 percent YoY and 15.15 percent MoM basis to 3,602 units in June 2023 and currently have a market share of 11.25 percent. At the same time, sales of Tata Tigor decreased by 32.37 percent to 3,335 units on an annual basis, while in June 2022 it sold 4,931 units. Similarly, Volkswagen Virtus sales declined to 1,812 units last month, which is 2.05 percent less than the 1,850 units sold in June 2022. However, with 1,631 units sold in May 2023, there has been an increase of 11.10 percent in MoM sales.

Ciaz sales last month grew by 15.73 percent to 1,744 units as against 1,507 units sold in June last year. This is a MoM increase of 75.81 percent from the 992 units sold in May 2023. At the same time, in June 2023, the sales of Skoda Slavia declined by 40.72 percent and 3.30 percent to 1,639 units on YoY and MoM basis respectively. Honda City sales fell 55.10 percent year-on-year to 1,478 units. Number 10 in this list was Toyota Camry, which has sold 184 units last month and registered an annual growth of 106.74 percent as against 89 units in June 2022.
