Tata Curvev SUV Spotted: Tata Motors is about to launch the new Nexon facelift, Harrier facelift and Safari facelift before the end of this financial year. The company showcased the Curve SUV Coupe concept at the 2023 Auto Expo. The company is preparing to introduce it in the first half of 2024. Now Tata Motors has started testing the Curve SUV Coupe on Indian roads.

The length of this new curve SUV of Tata will be 4.3 meters. It will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Tigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyrider and Honda Elevate. This SUV will be based on the new GEN 2 platform, which will also support electric powertrains.
Design
The new Tata Curve SUV coupe will support the company’s new design elements. In which a new front and rear design will be available. The company claims that this new SUV has been made keeping in mind the youth. The length of its wheelbase will be more than that of the Nexon SUV. It will get a new rear profile with long doors, shrink woof and large overhangs. 20 inch wheels were seen in this concept SUV. However, the production model will get 17-inch and 16-inch wheels.
The recently spotted model was completely done up. Due to which more details have not been received about it. An attempt was made to hide its rear part to a great extent. It gets a sharp raked windshield and smooth, angular tail lamp unit. Its cabin design will be completely new, which will get a three-layer dashboard with a large touchscreen, a digital instrument console and a two-spoke steering wheel with a central screen.
Features & Powertrain
The production model of the Curve will be offered with ICE and electric powertrain options, along with a CNG option as well. As features, it will get dual-zone climate control, auto park assist and 360 degree camera. It is likely to get a bigger battery pack of around 40kWh, which is expected to give it a range of 400-500 km. The ICE version will get a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, which will generate an output of 125bhp and 225 Nm. It will get the option of both manual and automatic gearbox.

This SUV will compete with the Hyundai Creta SUV, which currently has the highest sales in the segment. It gets a petrol and a diesel engine option.
