New Royal Enfield Bike The Images Of Royal Enfield 350 Bobber Revealed

Royal Enfield: Royal Enfield has been steadily growing in the mid-weight bike segment in the Indian market with models like the Meteor 350, Classic 350, Himalayan, Super Meteor 650, Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. Also with an aim to further increase its market share, the company has planned at least 13 new bikes that will be available for sale in the country in the next few years. The new motorcycles will be gradually introduced to four models per year over the next 3-4 years. These will include two new bikes based on 350cc platform, five bikes on 450cc platform and six new models on 650cc platform.

Design

Talking about the 350cc segment, Royal Enfield is about to bring the new generation Bullet 350 and a new 350 bobber. The Royal Enfield 350cc Bobber will be a lighter and more affordable version of the Classic 350. The bike was earlier seen with a single-piece seat, while the new pictures show the test model with a two-seat set-up. The cantilever pillion seat is placed just above the rear fender. The subframe of the new Royal Enfield 350cc bobber is shorter as compared to other bikes of the company. It looks exactly like the Classic 350 from the front, the rear section only extends till the rear shock absorber mount. The handlebars of the 350 Bobber are quite tall. It gets design elements from the Classic 350 like the round headlamp, fuel tank and shrouded telescopic fork suspension.

The new RE Bobber will get a 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which will generate around 20bhp power and 27Nm torque. The same engine has been used in the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350.

Who will compete with?

Direct competition of Royal Enfield Babur 350 will be from Jawa 42 Bobber and Jawa Perak, whose ex-showroom price is around Rs 2 lakh. The new 350cc bobber from Royal Enfield is expected to be priced similar to the Classic 350, which is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.90 lakh to Rs 2.21 lakh.
