Jimny 5 Door in Australia:Japanese automaker Suzuki is preparing to launch its 5-door Jimny in Australia. It is likely to be launched in November this year. Its delivery will start in early 2024. Although the company is yet to reveal its features, specs and prices for Australia, the lifestyle off-roader has already received over 1000 bookings. The 3-door Suzuki Jimny is already on sale in Australia. The new model gets a 1.5L, 4-cylinder petrol engine, 4-speed automatic gearbox and a standard 4WD system, which generates 101bhp power and 130Nm torque.

3-Door Suzuki Jimny

The Australian-spec 3-door Suzuki Jimny gets ADAS features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and high beam assist. ADAS technology can also be found in its 5 door version. In addition, it will also get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity and voice commands, digital climate control, two 12V outlets, reversing camera, LED headlamps and 15-inch alloy wheels.

3-Door Suzuki Jimny: Price

Currently, prices start at $26,990 for the entry-level Lite variant of the 3-door Suzuki Jimny, and go up to $28,490 for the manual core GLX. The 5-door model is expected to cost around $30,000.

Suzuki Jimny Rhino Edition

Recently, the Japanese automaker introduced a special edition of the 3-door Jimny in the Malaysian market, which is known as the Suzuki Jimny Rhino Edition. It comes with few cosmetic changes as compared to the regular model. It gets a deep chrome panel surrounding the mesh grille and circular headlamps. The old radiator grille, red colored mudguards, front bumper and side aluminum cladding as well as a new protection panel, further enhance its sporty appeal. The interiors of this special edition get an all-black theme with new DLX floor mats. Only 30 units of the Suzuki Jimny Rhino Edition will be sold in Malaysia. Its prices will start from $37,795 i.e. 174,900 Malaysian Ringgit.

Sometime back, Suzuki along with Maruti has launched the 5 door Jimny in India as well. In which the only option of 1.5 L petrol engine has been given. In the Indian market, this SUV competes with Mahindra Thar, in which 4×4 and RWD options are available including diesel and petrol engines.
