Hyundai Santa Fe The Fifth Generation Hyundai Santa Fe Is Spotted During Testing

Fifth Generation Hyundai Santa Fe: Hyundai Motor has been testing its fifth generation Hyundai Santa Fe for a long time. New spy pictures reveal that the popular SUV will soon get a major design update. The styling of the new Santa Fe will be like a boxy design unlike the rounded edges found till now. It is quite similar to the Land Rover Defender. The new Santa Fe could be introduced later this year.

Design

The new styling language will not only be used for the next generation Santa Fe, but will also be used for other upcoming Hyundai SUVs. Looking at the design of the new Santa Fe, it is also likely to get more cabin space. It is wider and taller than its predecessor, and gets a flat bonnet. At the front, there are square headlamps and it now gets the signature H-shaped daytime running lamps that also act as turn indicators. The same styling details have also been given for the Xtor micro SUV, which is going to be launched on 10th July. The angular theme is expected to continue in its front bumper, while two square shaped fog lamp housings have been given below the grille. All of them are surrounded by black surround. The front bumper also gets parking sensors and slots for the camera and ADAS sensors.

The glass and tailgate in its rear profile will be non angular and flat like any defender. At the rear, it gets a new light bar near the lower bumper and tail-lamp housing that extends across its width. It has been given large 22-inch alloy wheels. It will be around 5 meters in length with a boxy look. It gets huge ground clearance and a free rear suspension. It will also get AWD gear and drive modes similar to other Hyundai SUVs like the Tucson and the bigger Palisade.

interior

According to sources, the interiors of the new Santa Fe have been made with soft-touch materials with more luxury touches and will get a squarish theme with multiple screens. It will be a three row SUV. In which two seating layout options will be available. Further other details are also expected to be revealed about it.

Will it be launched in India?

Hyundai used to sell the second and third generation models of the Santa Fe SUV. At present, the company sells the Tucson SUV in the country. However, there is no hope of launching the Santa Fe in the Indian market as of now. But if it comes to India, it will compete with the Mahindra XUV700. In which a diesel and a petrol engine option is available.
