Will be produced in Germany
Volkswagen Teron is based on the company’s 5-seater Tiguan SUV. It is already sold in the Chinese market. Globally, this will be the second generation model. Which will be sold in the North American and European markets. It will be produced at the company’s Wolfsburg plant in Germany.
Cabin & Seating Layout
The new Volkswagen SUV will be offered with SUV and coupe body styles. Its SUV model can be offered with 5 and 7-seat configurations, while the coupe model can come with a 5-seat layout. The Teron will see a host of design changes and feature upgrades along with a more spacious cabin. The biggest update will be seen in the form of Volkswagen’s upgraded MQB platform and retuned suspension.

The Volkswagen Teron 7-seater SUV will be offered with two powertrain options, which will include a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine. Both these engines will be equipped with 48-volt mild hybrid technology. It will get a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Both the setups will get an electric range of more than 100 km combined. Its 2.0 liter petrol version can be launched in India.

This car will compete with Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Meridian. The Hyundai Tucson is offered with a petrol and a diesel engine option. Along with this, many modern features are also available in it.
