New Generation Mercedes GLC: Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch its new generation GLC SUV in the Indian market. The launch of this SUV is expected to happen in a few weeks. A few spy pictures of the fully covered test model of the car reveal some of the changes made to it.

Design & Interior

The new generation GLC is bigger and more luxurious with new exteriors and interiors. The exteriors get a sharp look with a new front-end and grille, while the rear styling is also quite smooth. It is longer, more premium and closely resembles the new generation Mercedes design language. Major changes have been made to the interiors, which have been given a facelift with a portrait touchscreen, as seen on many other new Mercedes cars including the flagship S-Class. A new digital instrument cluster has also been given in it. Like the new C-Class, its interiors are also tech-rich and classy. The legroom size has been increased further on the rear seat as well. Also the boot space is bigger than before.

Powertrain and Launch

Engine options will include a 2.0L petrol and a 2.0L diesel engine with a standard 9-speed automatic and 4Matic. Both the engines have a 48V integrated starter motor. The GLC has been the best-selling Mercedes-Benz SUV in India and the new version is expected to further increase its popularity. This SUV has also been the best seller for the company in the global market. That’s why this new SUV is very important for India as well. Its price is expected to be slightly higher than before, but many major changes will also be made in terms of price. We are expecting more details to come out about it in the next few weeks. Apart from this, Mercedes-Benz will launch the new generation SL Roadster in a few days, although the new generation GLC may be a big launch for the company in terms of sales.
